Organisation Setup is where you configure and manage the core settings of your organisation in IndepHR. This includes your organisation profile, the users who have access to the platform, and the recipient groups used to organise survey distribution.
Completing your organisation setup before creating your first survey ensures that the right people have the right access, your departments are correctly defined, and your surveys reach the right recipients from day one.


Why Organization Setup is Important

IndepHR is built around a structured workflow. Surveys are sent to specific recipients, and results are shared back to participants. None of this works smoothly without a properly configured organisation behind it.
Setting up your organisation correctly means your surveys go to the right people, and your team has the access they need — without anyone having more access than they should.

This includes:

  • Adding users who will create and review surveys

  • Defining roles and responsibilities

  • Setting up organization details like logo, departments, and timezone

  • Managing your account and billing information

User Roles in IndepHR
Every user in IndepHR has a role that determines what they can see and do. Understanding these roles before setting up your users will help you assign them correctly:

  • Organisation Admin — full access to all settings, surveys, reports, and user management. This is typically the HR manager or platform owner

  • Survey Creator — can create, schedule, and publish surveys, and view reports for surveys they created

  • Survey Reviewer — assigned to specific surveys to review and surveys before they are shared with the recipents

Roles are assigned when inviting users and can be changed at any time from the User Management section.

A properly configured organization ensures smooth collaboration and accurate survey execution.


What You Can Do in This Section

1.Manage Organization Details

You can update basic organization information such as:

  • Company logo

  • Industry

  • Departments

  • Timezone

These details help in branding, scheduling, and personalization across the platform.


2. Manage Users & Roles

You can add and manage users within your organization.

Each user can be assigned a role:

  • Author → Can create and edit surveys

  • Reviewer → Can review surveys and add comments or suggestions

  • Admin → Has overall control and management access

This ensures a proper workflow between creation and review of surveys.


4. Account & Billing Settings

You can also manage:

  • Personal account information

  • Billing details and subscription


When Should You DO This ?

You should complete the Organization Setup when:

  • Setting up your account for the first time

  • Adding new team members

  • Updating organization details

  • Managing roles and permissions

  • Preparing groups before sending surveys
